Situated on Aambeeldstraat in Amsterdam-Noord's vibrant creative district, our studio marries the natural warmth of vintage tube and ribbon microphone technology with the pristine clarity of 24-bit/96kHz digital conversion architecture.

Why the room is your primary musical instrument
Many modern productions rely heavily on artificial corrective plugins to mask room flaws from bedrooms or makeshift spaces. At Lymnaean Space, we solve acoustic challenges at the physical source.
Room-in-Room Decoupled Construction
Both our Live Hall and Control Room are engineered on floating elastomer pads using the decoupled room-in-room architecture. This guarantees an ambient noise criterion below NC-20, capturing the subtle breath of a vocal line or the delicate decay of an acoustic guitar string with effortless dynamic range.
Mathematically Modeled Timber Diffusion
Rather than deadening the air with heavy broadband foam, Lymnaean Space utilizes quadratic residue diffusers (QRD) crafted from solid wood. They scatter sound waves evenly without phase anomalies, creating a natural three-dimensional acoustic space where instruments breathe freely.
Transparent & Fatigue-Free Monitoring
In the control room, we monitor on linear three-way active loudspeakers combined with tuned bass traps effective down to 28 Hz. This ensures mixes made here translate reliably to car sound systems, headphones, earbuds, and club sound systems.
